Pen, Ink, and Scratchboard
Have not updated in a long time! I'm not the best at documenting my artwork, especially this year since I didn't bring a camera with me to school. But here are some things that I've been working on this semester for my Pen, Ink, and Scratchboard class. Pen and ink is one of my favorite mediums, and I had never used scratchboard before and I completely fell in love.
The assignment was to draw a human with an animal head. I chose a rabbit and a tiger: the rabbit is taking down the moon and the tiger is putting the sun back into the sky. Done in scratchboard.
This was our Halloween assignment. I wanted to play a lot with line work and textures and I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Done with pen and ink.
This was my very first scratchboard and my favorite assignment that I've done in that class. I'm really proud of it and I had a lot of fun doing it. It's a close up of a monster's hands grabbing a fish. Done in scratchboard.
This was part of my final series, in which I wanted to explore textures with scratchboard. So, naturally, I did a series on the adventures of a cat. This one was the best in my series.
